Fundraise for Happy Care Foundation.

Bring people together. Build hope.

Turn a shared activity into support for justice, healing and opportunities to rebuild. Your friends, workplace or community can help more people discover HCF’s mission.

Start with an idea people can join

A birthday with purpose

Invite people to make a voluntary donation to HCF in celebration of a birthday or personal milestone.

A workplace or group appeal

Bring colleagues, friends or a community group together around a clear, voluntary fundraising goal.

A challenge or gathering

Consider a walk, creative activity or small event. Discuss safety, permissions, costs and donation handling with HCF before launching.

Keep the plan simple and transparent

1. Contact HCF first

Explain your idea, audience and timing. Agree whether the activity can use HCF’s name and how donations should be directed.

2. Choose a goal and tell the story

Set a realistic goal and explain HCF’s mission accurately. Avoid promises that a certain amount guarantees a specific result.

3. Invite people and use the approved giving route

Share clear details and encourage donations through the agreed HCF channel. Discuss cash collection or event income in advance.

4. Close the activity and thank supporters

Reconcile agreed collections, keep appropriate records and report what was actually raised. Share only approved, consented stories and images.

A message you can adapt

“I’m supporting Happy Care Foundation, a Uganda-based nonprofit working to expand access to legal aid, mental health support, rehabilitation and community reintegration. If you can, please contribute through HCF’s official donation channel. Together, we can help build hope.”

Tell us about your idea

Email info@happycarefoundation.org with the subject “Fundraising idea”. Include the organiser, activity, audience, proposed date, location and intended approach to donations.

Confirm campaign wording, branding permission and the donation route before launch. Organisers should consider appropriate safety arrangements and local requirements.

Fundraising questions

Do I need approval to use HCF’s name?

Discuss the activity and obtain agreement before presenting it as an HCF fundraiser or using HCF branding.

Can I collect cash or deduct event costs?

Agree collection, reconciliation and any cost arrangements with HCF in advance. Do not assume costs can be deducted from donations.

Can HCF provide an online campaign page?

Ask about tools currently available. This page does not create individual fundraising accounts.
