OUR WORK . ACCESS TO JUSTICE
Justice Shouldn’t
depend on what you
can afford
Happy Care Foundation helps vulnerable children, women, youth, elderly persons, and underserved communities across Uganda access legal information, representation, mediation, and fair treatment under the law.

INTRODUCTION
Justice changes lives
Every person deserves equal protection under the law, yet many vulnerable individuals are unable to defend their rights because they cannot afford legal representation, lack legal knowledge, or face social and institutional barriers. At Happy Care Foundation, we believe that access to justice is the foundation for peaceful communities, human dignity, and sustainable development.
Through our Access to Justice Program, we provide legal aid, legal awareness, mediation, advocacy, referrals, and community outreach that empower people to understand, claim, and protect their rights. We work alongside communities, legal professionals, government institutions, and development partners to ensure that justice reaches those who need it most.

SUCCESS STORY
Lives changed through justice.
A young person facing conflict with the law was at risk of prolonged detention without legal representation. Through timely legal support, counselling, and coordinated case management, Happy Care Foundation helped ensure fair legal processes, connected the individual with rehabilitation services, and supported their reintegration into the community. Today, they are rebuilding their future through education, skills development, and positive community engagement.Every case is unique — names and identifying details are withheld to protect the privacy and dignity of the people we serve.
