MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
Trauma-informed support for recovery and hope.
Happy Care Foundation provides trauma-informed mental health support to vulnerable individuals, helping them address emotional and psychological challenges, rebuild their confidence and move towards sustainable recovery and meaningful reintegration into society.
OUR BELIEF
Mental Health Is Part of Recovery
Mental health support is an important part of Happy Care Foundation’s
work under Project Hope.
Our Constitution recognizes the need for trauma-informed mental health support alongside legal services,
rehabilitation and reintegration for vulnerable individuals in conflict with the law.
We understand that people may experience emotional and psychological challenges because of
trauma, violence, abuse, family difficulties, social exclusion, contact with the justice system and other
difficult circumstances.
Our approach therefore looks beyond the immediate problem. We seek to understand the individual,
protect their dignity and support their journey towards recovery
WHY IT BELONGS HERE
Addressing the person, not just the
problem.
For some vulnerable people, the circumstances surrounding their interaction with the justice
system or their community may involve trauma, fear, rejection, violence, loss or prolonged emotional distress. Legal assistance alone may not address all of these challenges
